I am Jeff Clark, founder of Internet Brothers, producer of this blog, and passionate about hiking. I live in Western NC near the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains. The purple flowers from the Arboretum that you labeled help identify are Alium, I think. And thanks for keeping up your website. We are headed up from the coast and are slightly miffed about the GSM closures, but have been very grateful for hikers who have posted info about trails in the national forests. Especially love the topo map access because the map I bought was for GSM – now off limits for parking at trail heads – and the USGS site for topo maps is down. So thanks! And it seems like I have to add the arboretum to my itinerary
