We visited the White River National Forest and Maroon Bells Wilderness. Awesome places! Absolutely beautiful. However, it was very, very crowded. On the weekends, we could not find any available campsites in the national park or forest – nothing. We drove for hours on forest service roads looking for dispersed camping, without success. Access to streams is limited, and No Trespassing posts mark the river edge and are placed in the middle of the water so you don’t make mistakes.
