We played in those woods like it was a vast national forest. We also had the freedom to wander nearby home to go “exploring.” Our imaginations ran wild with all kinds of possibilities of creatures and finding fossils, etc. Did a lot of fishing and wandering other woods with dad and my one older brother. A good foundation for adult interest in the great outdoors.
