Reminds me a little of some parts of the Texas Hill Country, especially on the western side and another area near San Angelo outside the Hill Country and heading to West Texas. There are some really cool areas in the Midwest that have topography and are located “here and there” and are not concentrated. A friend of mine visited Spearfish Canyon in South Dakota and his pictures indicated it is quite an amazing place. Just another example of canyon like areas scattered about in the central plain states.
