The trail past all 3 falls is thought, but now very well marked with tape, and forms a loop with Hogback Mountain Trail (unofficial, but USFS caliber) back to Macs Gap near Big Green Trail. Definitely worth a vist…even in summer.

Also, after climbing up the ascent next to Greenland Creek Falls a couple times, I’m pretty certain I’ll never do that again…and I’m pretty sadistic when it comes to hiking trails. Once you’re up there it’s easy. I never expected to see another human up there and one time I was up there and all of the sudden a dog came running at me down the trail and barking. OMG. I was scared, probably pale as a ghost. Then I saw the dogs owners and it took me a good 10 minutes to calm my nerves. Every time I venture out on the “red dot” trails in Panthertown I see or hear something crazy.

I’m pretty certain that the USFS has never considered the trail beyond Greenland Creek Falls to be an official trail. I’ve never seen it on a map. I believe even the trail up to the Greenland Creek Falls was not official until recently.
