A group of friends and I backpacked to Edge Lake last weekend. It’s still a bit wet along parts of the trail, but not bad. Keep an eye out for the trail to Edge Lake. Apparently, it is faint, because we missed it and ended up hiking along the creek (where it intersected Hooper Lake Trail) flowing out of Edge Lake. Saw no snow around the lake. No fish in Edge Lake, but there might be some in Bailey Lakes…

Thanks for the tip. Hopefully it’s not as marshy this weekend.

There is snow on the west side of the lakes, beneath the flat tops. Obviously, you’d have to walk all the way around the lakes to get to it, but…

I was hoping for a snowfield somewhere south of the pass for our food. We are going for a few days.

Nope. All the snow was on the north side of the pass. It was clear sailing south of the pass, though very, very wet from the snow melt.

We are heading up to Edge lake on Thursday. Was there any snow from the pass to the lakes?
