The last job interview I had was
in 1973. That will change on Monday as I try to defend my career. While preparing for
this process today, I discovered they might ask trick questions. These are questions
that have no correct answers, but many wrong ones.
Everybody has pet peeves. What are yours?
Just what does success mean to you?
Tell me about the best boss you ever had. The worst?
If you could relive the past 15 years, what changes would you make?
What is your greatest disappointment in life?
What does your partner think of the kind of work you do?
It's happening all over the east. No
chance to ease into it. In the space of one weekend the season changed. No chance to
adjust from t-shirts to flannels straight to jackets. The high temp here
today was a wopping 54F. Half way through walking this evening I reached in my pocket
for the ear gaiter. Just because Fall began on Sunday does not mean it has to be 41F
in the morning. October isn't even here yet and it's been skipped already. Does it
sound like I'm complaining? Naw. If anyone has a right to complain it's those poor souls
in the desert southwest. Hot. Hot. Hot.
