Have you ever filed something so well,
you even keep yourself in the dark to the location? Back in early August I purchased
a PCS phone, then proceeded to put the receipt away somewhere I would be sure to
remember. A few weeks later I picked up a rebate form to get $100 return on the particular
model phone I purchased. Just one problem, I could not find the receipt anywhere. I
looked high and low for weeks. All through the house ... all through my office ... in the
cars ... in the trunk of the car ... nowhere to be found.
Today, more than three months later,
while searching the nooks and crannies of my wallet for something else, I happened
upon the PCS phone receipt. I still have the rebate papers ... I only hope the offer
is still in effect. You don't have to tell me what a dork I am. The receptionist who
heard me chuckling to myself across the waiting room when I discovered the receipt,
told me as much with the strange look she sent my way.
