Many, many thanks to all you wonderful people who sent me birthday well wishes yesterday. I had a delighful day, my best birthday in years. I could feel the love from y'all. The Net brings together people with diverse backgrounds, even in these times of stress. We all want the same things — peace, acceptance and freedom to be who we are.

Speaking of acceptance, here's how far I will go in support of the spirit of community diversity. I actually let an Arab man hold my testicles in his hand yesterday, on my birthday. Now, before you think I've gone completely off my rocker, he is my new endocrinologist and it was just part of a normal glandular exam. Still. What have you done for diversity today?

On a sadder note, one of my sweetest friends had to say goodbye to a lifelong friend this week. It's been hard for me to comment — I went through the same tough situation myself this summer and I know exactly what she is feeling. She gave me great comfort during that trying time, so I offer the same to her. Clarity, serenity, fond memories, and a loving future.

Another one of those nice binary days. Did you know I have been selected as a potential candidate for a free listing in the 2001 Edition of the International Executive Guild Registry? Since inclusion can be considered recognition of my career position and professionalism, I have been evaluated in keeping with high standards of individual achievement. In light of this, the International Executive Guild thinks that I may make an interesting biographical subject. Imagine that.

I knew before I even started it was going to happen. Placing my resume online for all to see would increase spam. I just had no idea to what extent. My daily allotment of spam has jumped from about 20/day to near triple that in the past couple weeks. So, thank you spamscum. I'm delighted you sent your despicable spambots on their unerring search for more potential suckers. One would think, though, if I'm looking for a job it probably isn't likely I have extra money to spend on garbage.
